Norbury U13s were undefeated all afternoon in a really impressive display at the annual Christmas 8s tournament at Timperley.

The girls started off with a spectacular 9-1 victory against Stockport before drawing against Cheadle 1-1 and beating Mersey 5-2 in the group stages.

An improving Mellor Team were the opponents in the Semi Finals but the Norbury girls were too strong and put in a convincing performance in a physical game to end up 6-2 winners.

Brooklands had been the ones to watch all day and so the girls knew they were not going to be in for an easy final. Norbury started off well and went on to dominate possession and came out comfortable 5-2 winners.

As always these events don’t happen by themselves and a big thanks to Timperley and Cengiz for putting on the event, to Mackenzie for refereeing, Jamie and Jake for coaching and Rob for organising and managing.

A great way to end the year – well done girls.
