U19’s starts again with positive defeat.

We lost tonight 18-10 to a very strong Stockport/Brooklands/Rochdale team containing many of the England squad. Bearing in mind we had 7 u16’s who all played in a tournament all morning on a quagmire of a pitch, alongside Aaron and Ewan ( we had a couple of late drop outs which didn’t help) this was a great effort. Those who’ve seen the U19s will know that standard and speed is superb. The two elder lads brilliantly marshalled the team.

We must also thank the opposition who lent us players to help out.

Last word to our manager ‘Big Ron’ John Timms said:

Well done tonight lads. The performance was incredible, the work rate and commitment was a pleasure to watch and a credit to all of you.
The team you played tonight had some very experienced players playing for them and the way you all coped was unbelievable.
They had one team member who actually scored the winning goal for England this year in the Euro finals in Prague. We made him look tame.
Once again lads very well played and welcome to a level of lacrosse that you all are more than capable of competing
